Amy Hennig, the celebrated director of Naughty Dog’s first three games in Sony PlayStation’s very cinematic “Uncharted” game franchise, has joined David Ellison’s Skydance Media to form a new division focused on interactive media.
Hennig will work to create story-focused interactive series to reach all audiences, gamers or not, on emerging streaming platforms. The aim is to “create inviting and innovative experiences with the high production values and visual fidelity that will set the standard in this new media landscape” says Henning.
Hennig was most recently senior creative director at EA, overseeing a planned “Star Wars” title at Visceral Games that was scrapped during development. Hennig’s producing partner Julian Beak will also join the newly formed division.
