A new rumor has indicated that the celebrated “Uncharted” video game franchise may be resurrected in the near future.
Back in March came the news from DanielRPK reporting that developer Naughty Dog has already spent three years working on an unannounced project alongside the upcoming new IP title “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet” announced last year.
They added that the project is not related to “The Last of Us” franchise, and that it is being headed by “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy” director Shaun Escayg.
The report was never confirmed by Naughty Dog, but fan speculation has flourished since.
It hit fever pitch in the past day when fan site Naughty Dog World has reported the rumor that: “‘Uncharted 5’ is in development at Naughty Dog and will feature Cassie and Sam Drake”
Reaction has mostly been quite positive, with many discussing the narrative possibilities. Naughty Dog hasn’t yet commented on the report.
