British TV veterans Tracey Ullman (“Black Doves”), Sam Spruell (“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”) and Jerome Flynn (“John Wick 3”) have all joined the cast of the second season of “Alien: Earth” which has begun filming in the UK.
They joined multiple returnees including Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Babou Ceesay, Samuel Blenkin, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, David Rysdahl, Moe Bar-El and Sandra Yi Sencindiver.
They join previously cast Peter Dinklage who boards the series in its second season. Whether he’ll be reunited with his regular “Game of Thrones” scene partner Flynn remains to be seen.
Specifics of the new roles are under wraps, though series creator and showrunner Noah Hawley previously worked with Spruell on “Fargo”. Ullman will shortly be seen in the new season of “Ted Lasso”.
Hawley previously teased that the second season will pick up right after the events of the first season finale as Yutani’s troops invade the island.
As for when it may air is not clear. The show is expected to film across much of the rest of the year and needs around a year of post, so a premiere isn’t likely until either very late 2027 or early 2028.
