Ubisoft has confirmed its plans to reveal what’s next for the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise in September during a special event.

While not announced, it has been claimed Ubisoft is planning a smaller-scale, stealth-focused game (codenamed: ‘Rift’) in the series for later this year or early 2023.

Whatever that title is, it will come before the officially announced “Assassin’s Creed Infinity” live service game kicks off.

Meanwhile “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” will wrap up its free additions at the end of this year with fans to score “the last episode of the story of Eivor” via a final free chapter.

Before that, we’ll get a new Niflheim-set rogue-lite game mode this Summer named ‘The Forgotten Saga’ along with a final set of challenge vaults that wrap up the ‘Tombs of the Fallen; mystery.

Finally, the Ancient Egypt-set “Assassin’s Creed Origins” is getting a free weekend for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 starting this Thursday so you can test out the new 60fps update.
