“Fast and Furious” series star Tyrese Gibson has co-written the action spec script “Desert Eagle” with Mike Le and Universal Pictures has optioned the property to serve as a star vehicle for the actor-musician.
The story follows a pair of border patrol agents investigate a drug cartel being operated out of a Native American reservation casino.
Matthew Stuecken and Josh Campbell will rewrite the script. Scott Stuber will produce.
