As part of a presentation at the Television Critics Association, Paramount+ has confirmed two more “South Park” specials will arrive on the streamer later this year.
The specials are part of the fourteen made-for streaming films deal that creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker signed and will ensure the main series will keep running until 2027.
The first two films – “South Park: Post COVID” and “South Park: Post COVID: The Return Of COVID” – were released late last year.
A Paramount+ representative confirms there are no rules about release windows so the films could release anytime, and could be single or double parters.
The main series returned with a six-episode season last night which will be available on Comedy Central and South Park’s own website.
