Former “The 100” star Eliza Taylor and currently starring as Shanks in “One Piece” actor Peter Gadiot have both scored series regular roles in the second season of NBC’s “Quantum Leap”.
Taylor will play Hannah Carson, a complex young woman who may be more than she appears. She first appears in the third episode of the new season.
Gadiot will play Tom Westfall, a former U.S. Special Forces turned high-ranking Army Intelligence official. He’s dubbed thoughtful, centered, humble and almost spiritual. He takes on a crucial role overseeing the Quantum Leap project.
They join regular returnees Raymond Lee, Caitlin Bassett, Ernie Hudson, Mason Alexander Park, and Nanrisa Lee. The season premiere will take place in Russia 1978 with guest stars including Francois Arnaud, Melissa Roxburgh, Aaron Abrams and P.J. Byrne.
The network reportedly finished the majority of the thirteen-episode second season of the series prior to the writers’ strike. As a result, ‘most’ of the season will be ready to air, with the newest leaps commencing on October 4th.
Publicity shots have been released for episodes all the way up to the eighth episode, which was filmed in Cairo, Egypt. This would suggest the show’s Fall return will include at least up to that amount.
