The first photo and trailer is out for “Leonardo,” the upcoming international TV series starring “The Hobbit” and “Poldark” alum Aidan Turner as legendary artist Leonardo da Vinci.
Here’s a first look at Irish “Poldark” star Aidan Turner as legendary artist Leonardo da Vinci in upcoming international co-production “Leonardo,” set to be released next year.
Turner can be seen learning his craft as a young apprentice and then reaching for greatness with his commission to paint “The Last Supper”. Dan Percival (“The Man in the High Castle”) and Alexis Sweet (“Don Matteo”) helm the series and the clip showcases some of the score from series composer John Paesano.
Lux Vide, RAI Fiction and Big Light Productions are all producing the show which also stars Giancarlo Giannini, Matilda De Angelis and Freddie Highmore. The show was created by Frank Spotnitz (“The X-Files”) and Steve Thompson (“Sherlock”).
No premiere date has yet been set.
