A couple of TV promo trailers are out today, most of which are from Netflix, and most are worth a look.
First up, Netflix has released the trailer for their comedy “Medical Police,” a spin-off of the beloved Adult Swim series “Children’s Hospital”.
Erinn Hayes and Rob Huebel created and star as two American physicians who save lives and fight a civilization-threatening virus. Craig Robinson and Jason Schwartzman have supporting roles in the series which premieres January 10th.
Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for “Little America,” which is inspired by the true stories in Epic Magazine. The show aims to bring to life the funny, romantic, heartfelt and surprising stories of immigrants in America.
Zachary Quinto, Haaz Sleiman, Mélanie Laurent, Shaun Toub, Conphidance and Sherilyn Fenn star while Lee Eisenberg serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner alongside Sian Heder. The show premieres January 17th.
Netflix has released the official trailer for the third and final season of the coming-of-age drama series “Anne With an E,” based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic novel “Anne of Green Gables”.
The series is scheduled to return on January 3rd. In the new episodes, a milestone birthday sparks a search for Anne’s origin story as she sorts out matters of the heart and starts setting a course for her future.
Netflix has announced a January 14th premiere date for Leslie Jones’ forthcoming comedy special “Leslie Jones: Time Machine”. Directed by “Game of Thrones” showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the comedian shares her stories of wild times, crazy experiences, celebrity encounters and more:
Next, FX has debuted a featurette for their creepy horror take on Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” which aired last night on the cable network. Steven Knight penned and Nick Murphy helms the film which stars Guy Pearce, Andy Serkis, Stephen Graham, Charlotte Riley, Joe Alwyn and Jason Flemyng.
Netflix has also released a trailer for the special “John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch” in which the comedian does a spin on a children’s show and has enlisted the help of several celebrities – including Jake Gyllenhaal seemingly channelling his “Okja” performance for his role. The special arrives December 24th.
