A couple of key TV promotional trailers are out starting with the full trailer for the second season of Amazon’s “Homecoming” with singer/actress Janelle Monae taking on the lead role this time.
Premiering May 22nd, the new episodes sees Monae as an army veteran named Jackie who awakens to find herself floating in a rowboat adrift in lake, with no memory of how she got there or even who she is. Her search for identity will lead her into the heart of the Geist Group.
Stephan James (“If Beale Street Could Talk”), Chris Cooper (“The Bourne Identity”), Hong Chau (“Watchmen”) and Joan Cusack (“Addams Family Values”) co-star.
Next comes the new trailer for the seventh and final season of ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”. The new LMD version of Phil Coulson and the team are thrust backward in time and stranded in 1931 New York City. With the all-new Zephyr set to time-jump at any moment, the team must hurry to find out exactly what happened. The final run premieres on May 27th.
Then there’s the trailer for the second season of Adult Swim’s adult-oriented stop-motion animated series “The Shivering Truth” which returns May 10th. From creator Vernon Chatman comes all-new episodes – “miniature propulsive omnibus cluster bomb of painfully riotous daymares all dripping with the orange goo of dream logic. A series of loosely linked emotional parables about stories within tales that crawled out of the deepest caverns of your unconscious mind.”
Finally comes the first teaser for the ten-episode second season of DreamWorks’ “Kipo and The Age of Wonderbeasts” which is set in the whimsical and weird post-apocalyptic world of Las Vegas and returns on June 12th. After spending her entire life living in an underground burrow, a young girl named Kipo (Karen Fukuhara) is thrust into an adventure – joining a ragtag group of survivors as they embark on a journey through a vibrant wonderland where everything trying to kill them is downright adorable.
