X-Men ’97
Classic “X-Men: The Animated Series” writers Eric and Julia Lewald have confirmed that “X-Men ’97,” the upcoming Disney+ revival of the original 1990s animated series, will sport ten episodes and is targeting a mid-2023 launch. Speaking on Justin Underwood’s YouTube channel, they confirm it will be a direct sequel and will bring back all fan-favorite characters. [Source: YouTube]

Apple has ordered the ten-episode half-hour dark comedy series “Sunny” with Rashida Jones set to star in this adaptation of Colin O’Sullivan’s “Dark Manual” novel. A24 will produce with Katie Robbins set to executive produce.
Jones plays an American woman living in Kyoto whose husband and son disappear in a plane crash. She’s given a domestic robot and gradually develops an unexpected friendship with the being, as together they uncover the dark truth of what really happened to her family. [Source: Variety]
The Pact
The Roku Channel has picked up the six-part sci-fi adventure series “The Pact” which will hit North America on March 26th. Rick Ravanello, James Marshall, Robert Knepper, Natassia Malthe, Louis Mandylor, and Eyad Hourani star.
The story follows a family strained past the breaking point by a post-apocalyptic world as they travel alongside other survivors seeking the cause and cure for the Miasma, a mysterious fog that drives victims insane. [Source: Variety]

HBO has handed out two renewal orders for third seasons of its documentary series “How To With John Wilson” and its HBO Max comedy series “South Side”. Neither of the new seasons has yet to set a potential air date. [Source: HBO]
