Allison Janney, writer Alexa Junge and producer Bob Greenblatt are teaming to adapt the book “Confident Women” into an anthology series for Amazon Prime. The book chronicles female con women in a range of different stories over the last several decades. The first season will adapt the story of Sante Kimes. [Source: Variety]

Untitled Seth Rogen Comedy Series
Apple TV+ has handed out a series order for a half-hour comedy from Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory. Rogen writes and directs the series alongside Goldberg.

Currently untitled, the series deals with a legacy Hollywood movie studio trying to survive in a world where it is increasingly difficult for art and commerce to live together. [Source: Variety]

Apples
“I’m Thinking of Ending Things” author Iain Reid and actor Jason Schwartzman will adapt and executive produce Christos Nikou’s 2020 film “Apples” into a TV series. Nikou will direct the project, and also executive produces alongside numerous others including Cate Blanchett.

Set in an unnamed city amidst an outbreak of sudden amnesia, the series is a comedic and deeply human character study that follows a diverse group of recent amnesiacs who are enrolled in an experimental recovery program. [Source: Deadline]

Shuggie Bain
A24 and the BBC are teaming up on a TV series adaptation of Douglas Stuart’s 2020 Booker Prize-winning novel “Shuggie Bain”. The series will be written by Stuart and filmed in Scotland.

Set during the 1980s in Thatcher-era Glasgow, the story follows an effeminate boy in a working-class family who struggles to fit in and looks to care for his beloved mother as she battles with alcoholism. [Source: THR]

Apple TV+ has released a new trailer for the highly anticipated “Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock” holiday special titled ‘Night of the Lights’.

Premiering globally on Friday, November 18th, it will feature all-new adventures with Gobo, Red, Wembley, Mokey, and Boober as they embark on an adventure to find the brightest light and the true meaning of the holiday.
