The Witcher
Netflix’s “The Witcher” was the first major UK based production to completely shut down filming due to coronavirus concerns, and did so with over four months of filming remaining on the adult fantasy series.
Now comes word that production is targeting a first week of August start of the resumption of filming and will likely push the second season launch back from early 2021 to sometime next Summer. [Source: The International Business Times]
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist
NBC has handed out a second-season renewal for Lionsgate TV’s musical dramedy series “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”. The renewal comes just over a month after the first season’s run. Jane Levy leads the series which averaged a 0.7 rating and 3.1 million total viewers in Live+7 ratings. It’s also likely the sole NBC freshman series to score a renewal this year. Dark
“Dark” comes full circle on June 27th with the third and final season of the German genre series. The sinister tale concerns the aftermath of a child’s disappearance which exposes the secrets of, and hidden connections among, four estranged families as they slowly unravel a sinister time travel conspiracy which spans three generations.
The Mandalorian
While much of the talk about “The Mandalorian” has been about its StageCraft technology, the series still boasted a lot of traditional green screen and visual effects shots. Now a new VFX reel has been posted online from one of the visual effects studios who worked on the series.
