Doctor Who
The thirteenth season of “Doctor Who,” which marks Jodie Whittaker’s third outing in the role of The Doctor, has begun filming though has had to shorten its season. Rather than the usual ten episodes plus a holiday special, the new season is being reduced to eight episodes total which doesn’t include this year’s festive special “Revolution of the Daleks” which was already shot pre-pandemic. The Shrink Next Door
Casey Wilson (“Happy Endings,” “Gone Girl”) has joined Apple’s eight-episode dark comedy series “The Shrink Next Door” about the bizarre relationship between psychiatrist to the stars Dr. Isaac ‘Ike’ Herschkopf (Paul Rudd) and his longtime patient Martin ‘Marty’ Markowitz (Will Ferrell). Wilson will star as Bonnie, the wife of Dr. Herschkopf joining her “Mrs. Fletcher” co-star Kathryn Hahn who plays Ferrell’s wife. [Source: Variety]

The HBO Max “Friends” unscripted reunion special appears to have set a production date with actor Matthew Perry revealing that is has been currently rescheduled for the beginning of March next year. That would put it about a year after it was originally planning to film as HBO Max had originally hoped to have it shot in time for the service’s launch back in May. [Source: Twitter]

Power Book II: Ghost
Starz has released the first trailer for the last five episodes of the first season of spinoff series “Power Book II: Ghost”. The last batch of episodes of the crime drama are scheduled to return on Sunday, December 6th. The trailer arrives just a few weeks since Starz granted the series an early second season renewal.

American Horror Stories
Producer Ryan Murphy has shared a new poster for “American Horror Stories,” the anthology spinoff series which will consist of sixteen one hour stand alone episodes delving into horror myths, legends and lore. Many of the episodes will feature regulars from the main series. [Source: Twitter]
