Netflix has confirmed in a new posting that the third and final season of “Jessica Jones” will premiere sometime in June, but a specific date has not yet been set. To date, there have been no trailers, no clips, nor any photos from the new run of episodes. [Source: Netflix]

Lord of the Rings
“Game of Thrones” writer and co-executive producer Bryan Cogman has signed on to consult on the upcoming “The Lord of the Rings” TV series at Amazon. Cogman will work alongside the writing team of JD Payne and Patrick McKay, who were announced to be developing the series for Amazon back in July. The mega-budget series explores new storylines preceeding that of the ‘Rings’ trilogy. [Source: Variety]

The L Word: Generation Q
Showtime has announced “The L Word: Generation Q” as the official title of its highly anticipated sequel to the iconic lesbian drama which originally ran from 2004-2009. Marja-Lewis Ryan serves as showrunner and is executive producing with original series creator Ilene Chaiken and stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig, and Leisha Hailey.

The latter trio will resume their original roles alongside a new generation of diverse, self-possessed LGBTQIA characters experiencing love, heartbreak, sex, setbacks and success in Los Angeles. The series is slated to begin production on eight new episodes in Los Angeles this summer. [Source: Showtime]

Netflix has released the official trailer for their first original Arabic-language series “Jinn” which blends Middle Eastern mythology and modern themes such as love, adventure, and friendship. The six-episode supernatural teen drama series premieres June 13th.

The story follows a group of Arab teenagers as their friendships and budding romances are tested when they unknowingly invite the supernatural forces of Jinn into their world. As good battles evil, can the friends come together in time, and find the answers needed, in order to save everything?
