Star Wars: Visions
Lucasfilm and Anime Expo are teaming up to announce that the upcoming Anime Expo Lite virtual convention will feature a special sneak peek at the animated anthology series “Star Wars: Visions” due to be released on Disney+ later this year.

The series features some of the most renowned Japanese animators and creators in the world telling new stories that are set in the “Star Wars” universe. The preview will take place during the panel on Saturday July 3rd at 3pm US-ET. [Source: Lucasfilm]

UFO
J.J. Abrams will executive produce “UFO,” a four-part documentary series about UFOs for Showtime with all four episodes to premiere on August 8th. Mark Monroe and Paul Crowder direct the limited series.

The series will look at what clandestine influence the American government, lucrative private companies and the military may have in shielding the truth behind extraterrestrial phenomena to further their own agendas. [Source: Deadline]

American Horror Story
Former “Arrow” and “Justified” star Neal McDonough has joined the upcoming tenth season of “American Horror Story” as a series regular. He plays Dwight ‘Ike’ Eisenhower, but not the U.S. President of the same name. The new season premieres Wednesday, August 25th.

He joins other confirmed cast for the season including Macaulay Culkin, Frances Conroy, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross and Finn Wittrock [Source: TV Line]

American Rust
Showtime has released the teaser for “American Rust,” its nine-episode series adaptation of Philipp Meyer’s debut novel which will premiere Sunday, September 12th.

Jeff Daniels stars as a complicated and compromised chief of police in a Rust Belt town in southwest Pennsylvania. When the woman he truly loves sees her son accused of murder, Harris is forced to decide what he’s willing to do to protect him.

Truth Be Told
Apple TV+ has released a teaser trailer for the second season of its Octavia Spencer-led crime thriller “Truth Be Told”. Kate Hudson, in her first lead role in a television series, joins the cast this time around as Micah Keith – a social media mogul.

She’s also the childhood best friend of Spencer’s investigative reporter turned true-crime podcaster Poppy Parnell. “Truth Be Told” returns Friday, August 20th.
