The Umbrella Academy
A new cast photo is out for the third season of Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy,” this one showing off actors Justin Cornwell, returnee Justin Min, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, and Cazzie David as the members of the Sparrow Academy. Line of Duty
The BBC has confirmed that the sixth season of hit police corruption drama “Line of Duty” will be extended by an episode – from six to seven.
Playing on Netflix internationally and BritBox and Acorn TV in the U.S., the new season will return later this year after production was delayed last March by the coronavirus pandemic. [Source: Twitter]
The Maidens
Stone Village Television has acquired the film and television rights to Alex Michaelides’ murder mystery novel “The Maidens”. The story is set in both Cambridge in the UK and on the Greek island of Naxos. A troubled group therapist becomes fixated on a secret society when one of the members is found murdered and she believes it’s a classics professor at the university. [Source: Deadline]
National Parks
ABC has handed out a pilot order to “National Parks,” the drama co-written by Kevin Costner, Jon Baird and showrunner Aaron Helbing (“The Flash”). The trio also executive produce alongside Anthony Hemingway, Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson.
The series revolves around the small group of elite NPS agents as they solve these crimes while protecting these national treasures. Hemingway will direct the pilot. [Source: The Live Feed]
