It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Netflix U.K. has removed the ninth episode of the sixth season of FXX’s “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” due to the use of blackface. The episode sees Mac (Rob McElhenney) and Dee (Kaitlin Olson) don blackface and goes into a discussion about it and whether or not it’s racist, hilarious, or possibly artful.
As of writing, the episode is still available to stream on Hulu in the United States. Netflix U.K. have reportedly left up the episode titled “The Gang Makes Lethal Weapon 6” which has Mac donning black face again to play Roger Murtaugh. [Source: Digital Spy]
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier
New set photos from Disney+ and Marvel’s “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” series have shown an extra carrying an insignia of the character Ogun – an ancient warrior who once served as a father figure of sorts to Wolverine and ties in to the island of Madripoor which has previously been reported to tie-in to the new series. Production just days away from completion when it was shut down due to coronavirus and will shoot its remainder as soon as it is able to. [Source: MCU Direct]

Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Ben Whishaw will lead The BBC and AMC’s adaptation of Adam Kay’s humorous medical memoir “This Is Going To Hurt”. The series tells the unvarnished story of life on a hospital ward through the eyes of a junior doctor, charting the heart-lifting highs and the gut-wrenching lows. [Source: Deadline]
Search Party
HBO Max has premiered the first trailer for the third season of “Search Party,” the critically acclaimed and under-watched dark comedy which was on TBS, was cancelled, and has now been resurrected by the new SVOD service to premiere on June 25th.
The series follows a foursome of privileged, self-absorbed twenty-somethings whose search for a long-lost missing friend leads them down a dark and shocking path of no return. Season three finds the gang swept up in the trial of the century after Dory (Alia Shawkat) and Drew (John Reyolds) are charged for the semi-accidental murder of a private investigator.
The Politician
Netflix has released the trailer for the second season of its Ryan Murphy-produced dark comedy series “The Politician” starring Ben Platt as the over achieving Payton Hobart who fights to unseat Dede Standish (Judith Light) in the New York State Senate race.
As a long-time incumbent and greatly admired Senate Majority Leader with no-nonsense Chief of Staff, Hadassah Gold (Bette Midler) at her side, Dede’s re-election was supposed to be easy, but Payton must decide what kind of politician he ultimately wants to be in order to succeed. The series returns on June 19th.
