A Spy Among Friends
The first photo is out of Damian Lewis and Guy Pearce in the six-episode drama series “A Spy Among Friends” based on the novel by Ben Macintyre. The series will debut worldwide next Fall on BritBox in the UK and Spectrum’s On Demand platform in the US.
The story centers around the lives of Nicholas Elliott (Lewis) and Kim Philby (Pearce), British intelligence officers whose friendship ultimately caused the gutting of British and American intelligence during the Cold War. [Source: Twitter]
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
FXX has announced a December 1st premiere date for the first two episodes of the fifteenth season of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. They and the entire eight episode run will also stream the next day on FX on Hulu.
The new season makes ‘Sunny’ the longest-running live-action comedy series in television history and has the gang trying to exploit pandemic aid, sidestep cancel culture, evade criminal justice, reflect on their origins, and reconcile their identities and homeland roots. [Source: FXX]
Hanna
Amazon Prime’s series “Hanna” will end with its upcoming third season on November 24th. The series follows an extraordinary young woman played by Esme Creed-Miles raised in total seclusion and trained to be an assassin. Showrunner David Farr says three seasons was always the initial plan for the series. [Source: EW]
Miracle Workers
TBS has renewed the anthology comedy “Miracle Workers” for a fourth season with Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi returning for what has been the number one scripted comedy from the network. TBS has not announced a release date for the new season as the third only finished recently. [Source: TBS]
Good Omens
Production has officially begun on the second season of Amazon’s Original Series “Good Omens” with creator Neil Gaiman releasing the first photos of actors Michael Sheen and David Tennant reprising their roles as the angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley.
The new season will explore storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between a fussy angel and fast-living demon. Gaiman will continue to serve as executive producer and will co-showrun. [Source: Twitter]
