Mr & Mrs. Smith
Parker Posey and “Narcos” alum Wagner Moura have joined the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” TV series at Amazon in recurring roles. The pair join Donald Glover and Maya Erskine in the lead roles with Michaela Coel, John Turturro, and Paul Dano also starring.
Details around the characters are being kept under wraps, all that’s known is that it’s based on the 2005 film which starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Glover co-created the series with Francesca Sloane with the latter serving as showrunner. [Source: Variety]

“Game of Thrones” and “Ripper Street” alum Jerome Flynn has joined the cast of Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” prequel spinoff “1923”. Flynn plays Banner Creighton, a stubborn Scot and leader of the local sheep men.
The series will introduce viewers to two generations of the Duttons as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle theft; all battled beneath the cloud of Montana’s great depression. We Were the Lucky Ones
Logan Lerman has been cast in Hulu’s limited series “We Were the Lucky Ones” based on Georgia Hunter’s 2017 novel. Erica Lipez serves as showrunner.
Inspired by a true story, the series follows a Polish Jewish family that is separated by World War II and determined to survive and reunite. Lerman plays Addy, the middle child, who is an adventurer, engineer and budding music composer who lives in Paris. [Source: TV Line]
The Ring & The Crown
Disney+ is planning a series adaptation of Melissa de la Cruz’s young adult fantasy novel “The Ring & The Crown”. Aaron Harberts and Gretchen J. Berg serve as showrunners.
The series is set in an Arthurian world in which magic exists and centers on Princess Marie-Victoria, the heir to the mightiest empire in the world, who is being forced into a political marriage, and her dear friend Aelwyn Myrddyn, the bastard daughter of Merlin, who is being forced into service of the crown. Heartstopper
Netflix has officially announced that production has begun on the second season of its popular, school set, coming-of-age rom-com “Heartstopper”.
Joining returning leads Joe Locke and Kit Connor and the rest of the supporting cast are Leila Khan as Sahar Zahid, Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David Nelson, Bradley Riches as James McEwan, and Nima Taleghani as Mr. Farouk.
