Shining Girls
Elisabeth Moss will star in and executive-produce the metaphysical thriller “Shining Girls” which has been ordered to series at Apple TV+. Based on Lauren Beukes’ 2013 novel, Moss will play a Chicago reporter who is assaulted and then finds her reality rapidly changing as she tries to find her attacker.

Between the World and Me
HBO will air a special this fall adapting Ta-Nehisi Coates’ novel “Between the World and Me”. The special features readings from the book, documentary and archival footage and animation. Kamilah Forbes will direct the piece which is describes the author’s experiences growing up in Baltimore and his growing fear of violence against the Black community. [Source: The Live Feed]
Woman 99
Made Up Stories have acquired the rights to Greer Macallister’s historical thriller novel “Woman 99” with plans to develop it as a TV series starring Nina Dobrev who will also executive produce. The story follows a young woman whose quest to free her sister from an infamous insane asylum risks her sanity, her safety and her life. [Source: The Live Feed]
Pantheon
Paul Dano, Taylor Schilling, Aaron Eckhart and Rosemarie Dewitt have all been cast in the AMC animated drama series “Pantheon” which was picked up for two seasons back in March.
The one-hour show is based on a series of short stories by Ken Liu about human consciousness uploaded to the cloud. The first season will consist of eight episodes and focus on Maddie, a bullied teen who receives mysterious help from someone online – her recently deceased father. [Source: Variety]
