Servant
Apple has renewed M. Night Shyamalan’s “Servant” series for a third season, the order coming a month before the second season launches on the Apple TV+ service on January 15th.

The series follows a grieving couple, Dorothy and Sean (Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell), who bring Leanne (Nell Tiger Free), a nanny with a mysterious background, into their home. Rupert Grint also stars. [Source: The Live Feed]

Barack Obama
U.S. President Barack Obama shared his 2020 TV watchlist and listed “Better Call Saul,” “The Good Place,” “Watchmen” and “The Boys” as his four favorite shows of the moment along with the NBA playoffs. “The Boys” creator Eric Kripke responded soon after saying: “Ummm. RIP
Paramount+ is in early development of the dark comedy series “RIP” that hails from writer and executive producer Katie Wech. Gina Rodriguez and Jennie Snyder Urman also executive produce. The project tells the story of an ageing widow in Florida whose children move her into assisted living for fear she is a danger to herself, only to realize later on, just how dangerous she is. Lucifer
Brianna Hildebrand and Alias actress Merrin Dungey (“Alias”) have officially joined the sixth and final season of Netflix’s supernatural series “Lucifer” which is currently in production.

Hildebrand plays a rebellious and angsty angel named Rory, who hopes to follow in Lucifer’s footsteps. Dungey plays a no-nonsense uniform cop who forms a bond with Amenadiel. The series still has eight episodes of the fifth season still to air. [Source: EW]

Promos
Netflix has released the full trailer for “Disenchantment Part 3,” the adult animated series which is scheduled to return on January 15th. The new season sees Princess Bean dealing with the return of her mother and several assassination plots against her.

That’s not the only promo today as HBO Max has released the teaser trailer for the fourth season of comedy series “Search Party” which returns January 14th. After Dory (Alia Shawkat) is found innocent, she’s kidnapped by her stalker Chip (Cole Escola) leading the rest of the group to try and find her. Susan Sarandon, Busy Philipps, Ann Dowd and R.L. Stine gust star.
