Senna
The full cast has been announced for Netflix’s highly-anticipated six-episode biopic series “Senna” about famed F1 driver Ayrton Senna. The cast includes Gabriel Leone, Kaya Scodelario, Alice Wegmann, Camila Márdila, Christian Malheiros, Gabriel Louchard, Hugo Bonemer, Julia Foti, Marco Ricca, Pâmela Tomé and Susana Ribeiro.

Also onboard are Matt Mella, Arnaud Viard, Joe Hurst, Johannes Heinrichs, Keisuke Hoashi, Leon Ockenden, Patrick Kennedy, Richard Clothier, Steven Mackintosh and Tom Mannion. Filming is underway in Rio de Janeiro with shooting already having taken place in Argentina and Uruguay and will end in the UK. [Source: Netflix]

Genius: MLK/X
National Geographic has announced a February 1st 2024 premiere date for “Genius: MLK/X” on the network with episodes available to stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.

The eight-part series will focus on two iconic geniuses – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (Kelvin Harrison Jr.) and Malcolm X (Aaron Pierre) – and how their dueling philosophies helped usher America through the Civil Rights Movement. [Source: TV Line]

Yellowstone
CBS has announced that they will continue on with the second season of “Yellowstone” on the network, beginning on October 29th, following the first season’s finale broadcast on October 22nd.

The series debuted on September 17th to bolster the network’s strike-afflicted schedule. The series has averaged an audience of 5.49 million viewers for each episode and around 52% of viewers are said to be “new to the series”. [Source: Variety]

Hawk
An animated series adaptation of Mike Booth’s webnovel “Hawk” is currently in development at Wattpad Webtoon Studios. Christopher Yost (“Thor: Ragnarok,” “The Mandalorian”) is behind the project, serving as writer whilst Aron Levitz, David Madden, Taylor Grant, and Sydney Bright are executive producing.

The story follows a space bounty hunter named Kas Belara. When a disaster of epic proportions rocks the entire solar system, she must use her quick thinking and sharp wit if she’s going to stay alive. Along the way she needs help from a stolen federal robot, a child genius, and her trusty ship, the Calista. [Source: Variety]

Kevin Hart & Chris Rock: Headliners Only
Kevin Hart and Chris Rock will star in a new behind-the-scenes documentary chronicling their “Only Headliners Allowed” joint tour. The Rashidi Harper-directed special will debut on Netflix on December 12th. The one-off chronicles them performing five sold-out shows in New York City in July. In candid footage, the two comedians discuss their pasts, careers and their bond.

Dr. Death
Peacock has premiered the teaser trailer for its series “Doctor Death” which returns December 21st with a new eight-episode season. Based on the popular Wondery podcast, the series looks at real-life cases of medical malpractice.

The new run focuses on Paolo Macchiarini (Edgar Ramírez), a charming Italian surgeon infamous in Europe for extensive research fraud. Mandy Moore co-stars as Benita Alexander, the investigative journalist who helped take down the surgeon.
