Amazon has ordered two seasons of an animated comedy from Ramy Youssef and his Cairo Cowboy production banner. Youssef co-created the series with Pam Brady while A24 and Amazon Studios will co-produce.

The animated series will explore the experiences of a Muslim-American family that must learn how to code-switch as they navigate the early 2000s: a time of fear, war, and the rapid expansion of the boy-band industrial complex. [Source: Variety]

Domina
Epix has ordered an eight-episode second season of its historical drama series “Domina”. Created by Simon Burke (“Fortitude,” “Strike Back”), the new run is scheduled to begin production this spring at Cinecittà Studios in Rome for airing on Epix and Sky in 2023.

The second season chronicles the struggle for control of the Roman Empire, and of Rome’s Imperial Family from a rare female perspective. The first season followed the extraordinary rise of Gaius, Emperor Augustus Caesar’s third wife, Livia Drusilla. [Source: Deadline]

The Hardy Boys
Hulu has premiered a teaser trailer for the second season of the 1980s-set mystery drama series “The Hardy Boys”. Set six months after the events of the first season, the brothers return to their investigative routine after a classmate mysteriously disappears. Rohan Campbell and Alexander Elliot star in the series with the full season premiering on Hulu from April 6th.

The Family Chao
“Mr. Robot” and “Homecoming” creator Sam Esmail and UCP have optioned the rights to Lan Samantha Chang’s novel “The Family Chao” with plans to develop a series adaptation. Chang, Esmail and Chad Hamilton would executive produce.

The story follows three adult brothers who reunite in their Wisconsin hometown following a mysterious death in their family-owned restaurant of over three decades. Soon, secrets and long-simmering resentments erupt in this modern re-telling of “The Brothers Karamazov”. [Source: Deadline]

Moon Knight
Marvel and Disney+ have released both a featurette and some new posters for their “Moon Knight” TV series starring Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke.

Dubbed “Fight Club meets Indiana Jones,” the series is expected to offer a darker than usual take on a Marvel property along with exploring mental issues with the Disassociative Identity Disorder of its lead character. “Moon Knight” kicks off on Disney+ on March 30th.
