Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts
HBO Max has released the first official photo from the “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” special with a first look at the reunion of the trio of stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson.
Multiple actors from the films including Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, and Evanna Lynch return for the special arriving on New Year’s Day. George and Tammy
Steve Zahn has joined the cast for John Hillcoat’s six-episode limited series “George and Tammy” starring Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain as C&W legends George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
Zahn will be playing songwriter and producer George Richey, who married Wynette after her split with Jones in 1975 and managed her career until her death in 1998. Filming kicked off today with the series to air on Spectrum and later the Paramount+ service. [Source: Deadline]
Jeopardy!
Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings, who have been sharing hosting duties for season 38 of “Jeopardy,” will reportedly continue to serve in the same capacity through the end of the show’s current season in July 2022. Michael Davies, who has been serving as interim showrunner, will also continue through season’s end. [Source: THR]
Winning Time
Adam McKay’s upcoming HBO drama about the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers, originally titled “Showtime,” has now been renamed “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty”.
In addition, the series is expected to be released in March with the first trailer arriving shortly. Based on the Jeff Pearlman book “Showtime,” this will dramatize both the professional and personal lives of the team. [Source: Twitter]
