Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens
Comedy Central has officially renewed its upcoming comedy series “Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens” for a second season. The renewal announcement comes ahead of the half-hour long sitcom’s debut next week – a series based on the real-life experiences of the actress.

Raised by her Dad (BD Wong) and Grandma (Lori Tan Chinn) alongside her cousin, Nora leans on her family as she navigates life and young adulthood in outer borough-NYC. Ming Na co-stars as Nora’s aunt. [Source: Comedy Central]

Tony Award-nominated actor Corey Hawkins has been set for one of the lead roles in HBO Max’s forthcoming limited series adaptation “Americanah”. Hawkins joins previously announced cast members Zackary Momoh, Uzo Aduba and Lupita Nyong’o.

Based on author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s best-selling novel, the series will be executive produced by Nyong’o and Danai Gurira who will also be serving as the series’ writer and showrunner. Nyong’o plays a young, beautiful, self-assured woman raised in Nigeria, who as a teenager falls in love with her classmate Obinze. The pair then head off on separate lives. Sky has renewed original drama Britannia for a third season on its Sky Atlantic network and Now TV streaming service. The series follows the Roman conquest of Britain stars David Morrissey, Mackenzie Crook, Annabel Scholey and Eleanor Worthington-Cox.
