Michael Cera has joined Amy Schumer in Hulu’s straight-to-series comedy “Life and Beth”. Schumer created, directs, writes, exec produces and stars in the ten-episode run.

Premium network Epix has handed out a ten-episode straight-to-series order to contemporary sci-fi horror series “From” which hails from creator John Griffin (“Crater”). Casting is currently underway ahead of a May shoot in Nova Scotia. The series will be distributed by Netflix outside of the U.S.
The story is set in a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threat of dangerous creatures in the surrounding forest. [Source: Variety]
The Freak Brothers
Woody Harrelson, John Goodman, Tiffany Haddish and Pete Davidson have scored the lead roles in the eight-episode adult animated series “The Freak Brothers” based on the hippie-era underground comic.
Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon executive produce the series set in 1969 San Francisco where three hippies and their cat, searching for an altered state of bliss, end up in the year 2020 – a world of fourth-wave feminism, extreme gentrification, legal cannabis and intense political correctness. ESPN’s acclaimed documentary series 30 for 30 is set to tackle one of the first reality competition series – “American Gladiators”. Ben Berman (“The Amazing Johnathan Documentary”) will direct.
Currently untitled, Vice Studios and ESPN Films are producing the feature which explores the story of the show and includes many of the larger-than-life former Gladiators. [Source: Deadline]
