Matlock
Actor David Del Rio has been fired and “escorted off the set” of the CBS reboot of “Matlock” after the actor was accused of sexual assault. Del Rio plays Billy Martinez, a first-year associate at Jacobson Moore. The firing follows an internal investigation at CBS about an incident that took place a few weeks ago and involved series regular Leah Lewis.
“Matlock” is currently halfway through filming its second season which premieres next week, with more than half of the run filmed as of now and a pre-planned hiatus about to kick off. The character will now be written out of the series for future episodes. [Source: Variety]

Paramount+ has handed out a greenlight for the Jeremy Strong-led limited series “9/12” that will be written, directed and executive produced by Tobias Lindholm for Paramount Television Studios and Sister. Strong will play class-action lawyer Jason Smith.
The six-parter deals with a landmark David vs. Goliath legal struggle that first responders to the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attack faced before eventually winning compensation. Filming begins next year. [Source: THR]
Man vs. Baby
Netflix has set a December 11th release date for the Rowan Atkinson-led four-episode comedy series “Man vs Baby,” a follow-up to 2022’s “Man vs Bee” with Atkinson reprising his Trevor Bingley role. This time, Trevor takes on the task of caring for a luxury penthouse over Christmas. However, he soon finds himself unexpectedly responsible for a baby. [Source: Netflix]
Dexter: Resurrection
It was expected, and now it’s official – Paramount+ has renewed “Dexter: Resurrection” for a second season. Series star Michael C. Hall posted a short clip to YouTube to announce the show’s return and says that the writers room for the new season is officially open. The Mighty Nein
Amazon MGM Studios has shared the official trailer for its “The Legend of Vox Machina” spin-off, the Titmouse animated adult dark-fantasy series “The Mighty Nein”. The series premieres on Prime Video on November 19th.
The story follows a group of fugitives and outcasts, bound by secrets and scars. But when a powerful arcane relic known as ‘The Beacon’ falls into dangerous hands, they must learn to work together to save the realm and stop reality itself from unraveling. Voice actors include Laura Bailey, Ashley Johnson, Taliesin Jaffe, Liam O’Brien and Matthew Mercer.
