FOX is developing beloved 1980s comic “Bloom County” into a primetime animated series with Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist creator Berkeley Breathed on board to co-write and executive produce.

Bloom County centers on a collapsed lawyer, a lobotomized cat and a penguin in briefs and fruit headwear living in the world’s last boarding house in a small town in Middle America. [Source: THR]

The Crowded Room
Amanda Seyfried will join Tom Holland in Akiva Goldsman’s Apple TV+ series “The Crowded Room” for Apple Studios and New Regency. Kornel Mundruczo (“Pieces of a Woman”) will direct the ten-episode first season.

Inspired by the award-winning biography “The Minds of Billy Milligan by Daniel Keyes,” Holland plays the mentally ill man at the heart of the series while Seyfried will star as a clinical psychologist faced with the most challenging case of her career who is also trying to balance her life as a single mother.
