Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists
Freeform has canceled its spin-off series “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” after just one season of ten episodes with Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish reprising their roles. “Pretty Little Liars” creator and showrunner I. Marlene King wrote the pilot and served as executive producer with Lisa Cochran-Neilan, Leslie Morgenstein, Charlie Craig, and Gina Girolamo. [Source: Variety]

Justice Smith, Michael Johnson, Chloe East, Uly Schlesinger, Nava Mau, Haley Sanchez, Nathanya Alexander, Lukita Maxwell and Chase Sui Wonders along with “True Blood” alum Sam Trammell have been cast in the Lena Dunham-produced dramady pilot “Generation”.
The group join Martha Plimpton, who stars as Megan, a magnetic Adderall-fueled type-A Orange County mother whose core convictions clash with the values of her children’s generation. Filmmaker Daniel Barnz (“Cake”) and his 17-year-old daughter Zelda co-created the series. [Source: The Wrap]
Riviera
Rupert Graves (“Sherlock”) will join the third season of Sky drama “Riviera”. Graves will play Gabriel Hirsch, the carefree, charismatic and worldly ally of Julia Stiles’ Georgina Ryland. Filming is underway on the third season.
A year has passed, Georgina has abandoned the cursed Riviera, leaving all its devastation and damage behind to start a new life. Now a rising star in international art restitution, she has reinvented herself as Georgina Ryland as she travels the world – from Venice to Argentina – on the hunt for stolen art works. Safety
Matthew Glave (“First Man”) and Hunter Sansone (“Star Girl”) will join Reginald Hudlin’s Disney+ drama series “Safety” inspired by the true story of former Clemson safety Ray McElrathbey. Filming will take place on location in South Carolina as well as Atlanta.
Ray’s faith and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities and play football on scholarship at the university, all while struggling to raise and care for his 11-year-old brother. [Source: Deadline]
Apple TV+ Kids Line-Up
Apple TV+ has released first look trailers for three launch series in its kids and family programming lineup which begins November 1st. The line-up includes a reboot of Sesame Workshop’s beloved series “Ghostwriter,” the new live-action pre-school series “Helpsters,” and the animated short series “Snoopy in Space”.
