The Lazarus Project
TNT has announced a Sunday, June 4th premiere date for the eight-hour scripted action thriller “The Lazarus Project”, which was originally to air back in January until WBD temporarily shelved it.

The story follows George (Paapa Essiedu), the latest recruit of the eponymous organisation which holds power to travel back in time. When one of George’s closest friends suffers an accident, he considers what he would do now he has the power to re-write his past. Anjli Mohindra, Tom Burke, Caroline Quentin, Rudi Dharmalingam and Charly Clive co-star. [Source: Variety]

The Penguin
Carmen Ejogo (“Alien: Covenant”), Francois Chau (“The Expanse”), and David H. Holmes (“High Fidelity”) have all scored recurring roles in HBO Max’s “The Penguin” series alongside Colin Farrell reprising the role of Oswald ‘The Penguin’ Cobblepot from “The Batman”.

Chraracter specifics are under wraps. They join a cast that includes Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, and Clancy Brown. Filming on the eight-episode series is currently underway. [Source: Variety]

Time
Bella Ramsey (“The Last of Us”) has been cast in the second season of BBC prison drama “Time” alongside Jodie Whittaker, Tamara Lawrance and Siobhan Finneran. Filming will begin on the Jimmy McGovern-produced series in Liverpool shortly.

The new season will move on to a women’s prison where Ramsey will play Kelsey, thrown together to face an unfamiliar world with Orla (Whittaker) and Abi (Lawrance). Even with the ever-present threat of violence, they discover that an unexpected sense of community. [Source: Deadline]

Wild Isles
Sir David Attenborough’s latest BBC nature documentary series “Wild Isles” has been picked up by Amazon who will air the five-part series in the U.S. and around the world, excluding the UK. The series will be available from April 21st, ahead of Earth Day.

The series centers on the British Isles – one of the most diverse and beautiful landscapes on Earth, and the series is full of behaviors never before seen on screen. It shows a “wild side to the British Isles,” exploring why the region is so globally important for nature before profiling one key habitat per episode. [Source: Amazon]

Young Jedi Adventures
Lucasfilm has dropped a first look at the upcoming children’s animated series “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures,” which will premiere on Disney+ and Disney Junior on May 4th.

Set during the High Republic era, approximately 50 years before the events of ‘The Phantom Menace’, the series will follow a group of Jedi younglings as they attempt to learn the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, and learn the skills needed to become a Jedi Master one day.
