Krapopolis
“Community” and “Rick and Morty” co-creator Dan Harmon’s new animated series “Krapopolis” is set to have its long-awaited premiere on September 24th on FOX. The show is about a dysfunctional family of humans, Greek gods and monsters trying to run one of the world’s first cities.
The series will debut with a special two-episode release that night immediately following the NFL doubleheader. It then makes its regular timeslot premiere on Sunday, October 1st at 8:30 pm US-ET. The series has already been renewed for a second and third season.
Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy, and Duncan Trussell lend their voices to the series. [Source: Variety]
Manny Coto
Emmy-winning writer/producer/director Manny Coto reportedly died Sunday in Pasadena at the age of 62. Coto reportedly passed, surrounded by family at his home, after a thirteen-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
The Cuban-born Coto was one of the most prominent Latino writers and showrunners on U.S. television and famously played a crucial part in delivering the third and fourth seasons of “Star Trek: Enterprise”, the fifth season and beyond of “24,” creating the short-lived “Odyssey 5 and writing/directing the film “Dr. Giggles”. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
Another teaser trailer for the Norman Reedus-led spin-off series “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” has been revealed ahead of its debut on AMC later this year.
The six-episode sees Daryl washing ashore in France and struggling to understand how and why he got there. The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home.
Star Wars: Ahsoka
The official “Star Wars” account has done a nearly two-minute featurette recapping Rosario Dawson’s Star Wars journey ahead of the release of the “Star Wars: Ahsoka” series on August 23rd. The video also deals with the beloved character’s legacy.
Set after the fall of the Empire, “Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
