The Kingdom
Lars von Trier will resurrect his cult 1990s medical horror series “The Kingdom,” closing out the work with a third and final season that follows on from the 1994 and 1997 first two.

TrustNordisk and Zentropa are backing “The Kingdom Exodus” which will shoot next year and consist of five one-hour long episodes. The cast for the final season of the Danish series has yet to be announced. [Source: The Wrap]

Wyrd
Matthew Rhys (“The Americans”) will serve as the lead and executive producer of the series adaptation Dark Horse comic “Wyrd” at FX, Vendetta Productions and 20th Television. Keri Russell also executive produces.

Penned by Sheldon Turner, the story follows Pitor Wyrd, an alien (Rhys) in exile on Earth trying to understand humanity. When his people don’t come back for him, he’s forced to assimilate – all while investigating paranormal activity and searching for a way home. [Source: Deadline]

Prodigal Son
FOX has dropped a new second season featurette for “Prodigal Son” ahead of the Tom Payne and Michael Sheen-led series returning on Tuesday, January 12th.

The season begins with Bright’s personal life in disarray after the shocking actions of his sister, Ainsley (Halston Sage). Now, he must ‘take care’ of her and protect his mother, Jessica Whitley (Bellamy Young), from a secret that could tear the family apart all over again.

Walker
The CW has released the full trailer for the “Walker, Texas Ranger” reboot with “Supernatural” star Jared Padalecki stepping into the role. Lindsey Morgan, Keegan Allen, Mitch Pileggi, Molly Hagan and Coby Bell co-star in the show which premieres January 21st.

Here he’s a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years – only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home.
