Invincible
Famed comic author Robert Kirkman has offered a brief update on how the long-awaited second season of “Invincible,” Amazon’s animated adaptation of his celebrated superhero comic, is going. The show aired its first season finale in early 2021 and no air date for the second season run has yet been set beyond a late 2023 debut.

Kirkman tells Collider this week: “It’s going great. I’m seeing full animation now, and we’re getting music and stuff put into it, and it’s coming along really great. And I can’t wait for people to finally see it so that they stop asking me about it.”

Luckiest Man
Apple is teaming with Universal Television and Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video to adapt author Jonathan Eig’s book “Luckiest Man,” about the life of Lou Gehrig, as a scripted television series.

Dan Kay (“Spider & Jessie”) will co-write the script with Eig and serve as showrunner on the drama about the famed baseball player who suffered from ALS, which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Peter Farrelly, Lorne Michaels, Michael Uslan, David Uslan and Charles Wessler will produce. [Source: THR]

Ghosts
BBC’s hit comedy “Ghosts” will end with its fifth season with production company Monumenta Television announcing the news. Filming on that final season recently wrapped, and an air date hasn’t been announced beyond sometime later this year.

The series regularly saw between 4–5 million viewers each week, earning a renewal by the BBC in December last year. The show was successful enough that it spawned CBS’ American remake, which has had strong success and has already been renewed for a third season. [Source: Twitter]
