The Company You Keep
ABC has handed out a series order to the spy drama “The Company You Keep” starring Milo Ventimiglia. It will now debut at midseason in 2023. Julia Cohen wrote the pilot for the series and serves as executive producer and co-showrunner with Phil Klemmer.

In the series, a night of passion leads to love between con-man Charlie (Ventimiglia) and undercover CIA officer Emma (Catherine Haena Kim), who are unknowingly on a collision course professionally. William Fichtner, Tim Chiou, Sarah Wayne Callies and James Saito co-star. [Source: Variety]

“Birds of Prey” filmmaker Cathy Yan will executive produce and direct a live-action series based on Yasutaka Tsutsui’s novel “Paprika” for Amazon Studios and Hivemind. The property was previously adapted into the acclaimed 2006 anime film by Satoshi Kon.

The character-driven sci-fi series centers around a technology that allows users to invade people’s dreams. Yan, Ash Sarohia, Masi Oka, and Jason F. Brown will all executive produce. [Source: Deadline]

The Devil in Ohio
Netflix has premiered the trailer for its limited series adaptation of Daria Polatin’s suspense novel “Devil in Ohio”. “Bones” alum Emily Deschanel stars alongside Sam Jaeger, Gerardo Celasco and Madeleine Arthur.

Deschanel plays hospital psychiatrist Dr. Suzanne Mathis who shelters a mysterious cult escapee. Soon her world is turned upside down as the strange girl’s arrival threatens to tear her own family apart.
