Filthy Animals
Actress and writer Rashida Jones is teaming with the production team behind “Robot Chicken” for a new Quibi animated sci-fi comedy series titled “Filthy Animals” in which she will star and executive produce.

Jones plays Sunny Day, a lonely, too-smart-for-her-own-good suburban 12-year-old who befriends the selfish, renegade, messy, suave adoptive cat Cruz. Nikolai and Simon Haas, Johnny Smith, Seth Green, John Harvatine IV, Matthew Senreich, Eric Towner and Chris Waters will all executive produce. [Source: The Live Feed]

Creepshow
AMC has announced they will air the first season of Shudder’s “Creepshow” revival on the network beginning on Monday, May 4th after its airing on the horror-centric streaming service. Executive produced by showrunner Greg Nicotero, the show is based on the iconic 1982 movie written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero and features twelve chilling tales told over six, hour-long episodes. [Source: AMC]

Snapchat
Quibi is not moving ahead with a planned series dramatizing the rise of Snapchat and its founder, Evan Spiegel. The project was to be based on the feature script “Frat Boy Genius” by Elissa Karasik, which was featured on the 2018 Black List. [Source: Variety]

Perry Mason
Robert Downey Jr. has shared a very brief sneak peek at the limited series “Perry Mason” starring Matthew Rhys in the title role. Based on Erle Stanley Gardner’s series of novels, the 1932 Los Angeles-set series follows the origins of American Fiction’s most legendary criminal defense lawyer. The show has not set an air date as yet.

Gold Digger
Acorn TV has released the official trailer for their limited drama series “Gold Digger” which will air May 3rd in the United States following its UK launch last year. Julia Ormond plays Julia Day, a mother and a wife who has spent her whole life putting the needs of others before herself.

She soon falls in love with Golding (Ben Barnes), a man 25 years her junior and the series looks at how their unconventional relationship impacts her family as the secrets of their past are revealed.

Dirty John
USA Network has released the teaser trailer for “Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story,” the upcoming second season of their true crime anthology series. Amanda Peet plays the titular character, the perfect Southern California blonde wife and mother, who was convicted for murdering her ex-husband (played by Christian Slater) in 1989. The new season debuts on Tuesday, June 2nd with two back-to-back episodes.
