Happy Endings
The cast of ABC and Sony Pictures Television’s “Happy Endings” will return for a virtual reunion that includes them performing new scripted material. The special event takes place Monday, July 20th at 4pm US-PT on the Sony Pictures Television YouTube page.

Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Adam Pally, Damon Wayans, Jr. and Casey Wilson will all take part with the special raising money and awareness for Color of Change and Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen supporting Black Lives Matter and COVID-19 relief efforts. [Source: Variety]

CBS
CBS has announced it will devote 25% of its script development budget to projects created or co-created by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) beginning with the 2021-2022 development season. The network is also setting a target to have a minimum of 40% BIPOC representation in their writers rooms that season, increasing to 50% the following season. The network has also committed to hiring additional BIPOC writers on some of their series for the upcoming 2020-2021 season. [Source: Variety]

Untitled Michael Che Series
SNL regular Michael Che will star in and executive produce a sketch comedy series at HBO Max. The streaming service has ordered six episodes of the untitled show which will tackle subjects including police brutality, unemployment and falling in love from a Black vantage point. The project is produced by Broadway Video and Universal Television. [Source: The Live Feed]

Alex Rider
Coming-of-age spy drama series “Alex Rider” has found a U.S. home on IMDb TV, where it will premiere Friday, November 13th. The series first premiered on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland on June 4th. It stars Otto Farrant as a London-based teenager who has unknowingly been trained since childhood for the dangerous world of espionage. [Source: TV Line]

Evel
USA Network has abandoned plans for “Evel,” a limited series about famous 1970s daredevil Evel Knievel starring Milo Ventimiglia. The project was announced last September, but the coronavirus pandemic shut down the series on March 13th right before production was to begin. The network has now decided to walk away from the project which was to deal with his preparation for the iconic historic Snake River Canyon jump. [Source: THR]
