Death by Lightning
Netflix has set a November 6th launch date for the four-episode limited series “Death by Lightning” with Michael Shannon and Matthew Macfadyen starring as U.S. President James Garfield and his assassin Charles Guiteau, respectively.

Based on Candice Millard’s novel “Destiny Of The Republic,” the series also stars Nick Offerman, Bradley Whitford, Shea Whigham and Betty Gilpin. Mike Makowsky is the creator and will also serve as writer and an executive producer. [Source: Netflix]

Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry are the latest actors to join the Disney+ series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” with the pair playing recurring roles in the show’s third season, which is currently in production in Vancouver.

Keen will play Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon and the hunt. Saara Chaudry is Zoë Nightshade, an immortal hunter and Artemis’ lieutenant. The pair join Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who play siblings Leo and Bianca di Angelo. [Source: THR]

The Paper
The Domhnall Gleeson-led “The Paper, the upcoming spinoff of the beloved sitcom “The Office,” is switching from a weekly model to a binge model and will release all ten episodes on September 4th on Peacock.

The series was initially set to debut four episodes on that date, followed by weekly drops of two episodes each. Gleeson plays a journo who joins an Ohio newspaper as its new editor-in-chief. Faced with a crumbling local media industry, Ned must rally a group of ragtag employees and defy the odds to revitalize the paper. [Source: THR]

The Monster of Florence
Netflix has premiered the official trailer for Stefano Sollima‘s four-part Italian drama series “The Monster of Florence” which the latter created with Leonardo Fasoli. The series will premiere out of competition at the Venice Film Festival, and then be available on Netflix on October 22nd.

The series delves into the origins of the Monster of Florence case, which involved a string of eight double murders between 1968 and 1985. It starts from the first inquiry and reconstructs one of the longest and most controversial investigations in Italian history.

Futurama
Hulu has premiered the trailer for the ten-episode thirteenth season of “Futurama” which will arrive in full on the service on September 15th. Two episodes per week will air on FXX starting that date.

In the new season, “Bender is rampaging out of control! A volcano is about to explode! Fry confronts a rival for Leela’s love! And Dr. Zoidberg is rising up to heaven?! The excitement might be too much!”
