Head of the Class
A first look clip has been released from HBO Max’s revival of the classic 1980s comedy “Head of the Class” which returns on November 4th – 35 years after the original aired.

Robin Givens stars as a now lawyer and mother Darlene Merriman hyper-focused on setting up her son for success, but the show will put the focus on the younger characters as Givens is only a guest star.

Isabella Gomez, Jorge Diax, Jolie Hoang Rappaport, Gavin Lewis, Dior Goodjohn, Brandon Severs, Adrian Matthew Escalona, and Katie Beth Hall also star.

Attack on Titan
NHK General has confirmed a January 9th 2022 premiere date for the second part of the final season of major hit anime series “Attack on Titan”. The first part premiered back in December 2020 and streamed on Crunchyroll as it aired in Japan. [Source: NHK General]

Retreat
Emmy nominee Emma Corrin (“The Crown”) will star in FX’s limited series “Retreat” which hails from “The OA” creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij who will write and direct.

Corrin will play Darby Hart, an amateur detective who attempts to solve a murder at a secluded retreat owned by a reclusive billionaire. Marling will also have a key on-screen role in the series. [Source: THR]

Before She Disappeared
Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank has been cast in the dramatic thriller series “Before She Disappeared” based on Lisa Gardner’s novel of the same name.

Swank stars as Frankie Elkin, a recovering alcoholic who is determined to solve the toughest cases out there: missing people marginalized by those that were supposed to protect them. [Source: Deadline]

Candy
Melanie Lynskey will co-star with Jessica Biel in Hulu’s original limited event series “Candy” based on the true story of seemingly perfect housewife Candy Montgomery (Biel) who killed her friend from church Betty Gore (Lynskey) with an axe in 1980s Texas.

Robin Veith wrote the pilot script and will executive produce alongside Biel, Nick Antosca, Alex Hedlund and Michelle Purple. [Source: Deadline]

Netflix has renewed its hit Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti-led crime drama series “You” for a fourth season ahead of the series’ third season premiere this Friday. Showrunners Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti will also return.
