City On A Hill
Showtime’s critically acclaimed Boston crime drama “City on a Hill,” starring Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge, has been renewed for a third season.

Emmy-winning executive producer and showrunner Tom Fontana will return for the new eight-episode run which will begin production in New York later this year for a 2022 release. [Source: Variety]

Peacock has ordered the eight-episode TV series “The Resort” from writers Andy Siara (“Palm Springs”) and Allison Miller (“Angelyne”) and executive producer Sam Esmail (“Mr. Robot”).

Miramax Television and Stone Village are teaming to develop a series adaptation of Alex Michaelides’ novel “The Maidens” with Morwenna Banks (Damned) attached to write.

The Lost Apothecary
Sarah Penner’s novel “The Lost Apothecary,” which takes place in the hidden depths of 18th century London, is set to be turned into a drama series by FOX. The network is now looking to bring in a writer/exec producer.

The story centers on a secret apothecary shop that sells well-disguised poisons for women to use against oppressive men. Things go awry when a precocious twelve-year-old makes a fatal mistake. Disney+ has released a new featurette for their Marvel Studios “Loki” series ahead of next week’s premiere. The clip comes as writer-creator Michael Waldron tells Total Film that the new show will have “wide-reaching ramifications across the MCU moving forward”. “Loki” debuts on Disney+ on June 8th.
