La Brea
While it started off soft on NBC with 6.4 million viewers and a 0.77 rating, new drama “La Brea” has become a smash hit in delayed viewing as the numbers surged by 250% to 15.6 million viewers, and a 2.72 rating with DVR and online streaming added in.

“La Brea,” which deals with a giant sinkhole opening up in modern Los Angeles and prehistoric creatures emerging, also had the best launch of any new NBC show on Peacock and is the top non-franchise show of the new network season. [Source: Deadline]

Leonardo
The CW has acquired the eight-part Italian period drama series “Leonardo,” starring “The Hobbit” and “Poldark” star Aidan Turner as Leonardo Da Vinci, for its line-up. Freddie Highmore co-stars in the series with a premiere to be announced at a later date. [Source: TV Line]

The House of Spirits
Eva Longoria is set to star in the TV adaptation of the Isabel Allende bestselling family saga meets magical realism novel “The House of Spirits” at FilmNation Entertainment. Francisca Alegría and Fernanda Urrejola are writing the adaptation with the latter to direct.

Set in a remote South American country in the 20th century, Longoria will play Blanca Trueba, one of the passionate and courageous women who leads multiple generations of her family to their destiny. [Source: Deadline]

Candy
Pablo Schreiber (“American Gods,” “Den of Thieves”) has signed on for the Hulu true crime series “Candy” about a Texan housewife (played by Jessica Biel) who murdered her best friend (Melanie Lynskey) with an ax in 1980.

Schreiber will play the engineer husband of the victim. Robin Veith wrote the script and will serve as executive producer. [Source: Variety]

Snoopy in Space
Apple TV+ has released a trailer for the second season of “Snoopy in Space” which is set to premiere on November 12th. Snoopy in Space’s second season will follow the Peanuts crew as they explore the wide-ranging mysteries of the universe including Mars and the exoplanets outside of our solar system.
