Blade Runner: Black Lotus
Nearly two years after they first announced it, Adult Swim and Crunchyroll are set to provide an update on the anime series “Blade Runner: Black Lotus” based on the famed film series, and the adaptation of Junji Ito’s “Uzumaki” this July at the Adult Swim Con. Shinichiro Watanabe is producing the “Blade Runner” series which runs for 13 half-hour episodes and will take place in 2032. [Source: Twitter]

Thirtysomething & The Brides
ABC have opted to not pick up a possible sequel series to the hit 1980s drama “Thirtysomething”. Earlier this year ABC ordered a pilot but they have elected to pass on it now. Dracula drama “The Brides” is also not being picked up. [Source: The Live Feed]

David Makes Man
HBO Max has acquired OWN and Warner Horizon Scripted Television’s Peabody Award-winning lyrical drama series “David Makes Man” and will make it available to stream starting July 16th.

Created by playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney (“Moonlight”), the story follows a 14-year-old prodigy (Akili McDowell) from the South Florida projects who is haunted by the death of his closest friend and relied upon by his hardworking mother to find a way out of poverty. He must choose between the streets that raised him or the higher education that may offer him a way out. [Source: HBO Max]

Tiger Woods
A Tiger Woods scripted mini-series, based on Jeff Benedict and Armen Keteyiann’s biography of the controversial golf champion, has found a writer in Rodney Barnes (Hulu’s “Wu-Tang: An American Saga”) and a production partner in the shape of Entertainment 360. Published in 2018, the book tells the story of one of the greatest career comebacks in sports history starting with the 2009 car accident that precipitated Woods’ infidelity scandal. Debris
NBC has ordered alien spacecraft drama “Debris,” the only pilot which managed to complete shooting before the production shutdown, to series. NBC still intends to shoot five more pilots, including “Langdon,” later this year.

“Debris” follows two agents from two different continents, and two different mindsets, who must work together to investigate when wreckage from a destroyed alien spacecraft has mysterious effects on humankind. Jonathan Tucker and Riann Steele co-star. [Source: Variety]
