Black Snow
“Vikings” and “Raised By Wolves” star Travis Fimmel has been set to lead the new six-part Australian mystery-drama series “Black Snow” for streamer Stan and Sundance Now. Talijah Blackman-Corowa, Jemmason Power, Brooke Satchwell and Alexander England co-star.
The mystery deals with a small-town murder in 1995 that rocked North Queensland’s South Sea Islander community. 25 years later, the opening of a time capsule unearths a secret that puts cold-case detective James Cormack (Fimmel) on the trail of the killer. [Source: Stan]
Black Mirror
Zazie Beetz, Paapa Essiedu, Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton and Anjana Vasan are reportedly set to guest star across three episodes in the upcoming sixth season of “Black Mirror” at Netflix.
The hit dystopian anthology series is gearing up for its long-awaited return and is now believed to be in production. Further actors are expected to join the fray for the other episodes in the season which will go beyond the three instalments of the fifth season which aired back in 2019. [Source: Variety]
The Witcher
Ryan Hayes, Michalina Olszanska, Kate Winter, Martyn Ellis, Harvey Quinn, and Poppy Almond all have joined the cast of the third season of Netflix’s smash fantasy series “The Witcher” which is currently in production near Erfoud, Morocco. Breaking Bad
Albuquerque, New Mexico city officials are planning to unveil bronze statues honoring the two main characters of “Breaking Bad” – Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. The statues were commissioned in 2019 by the show’s creator, Vince Gilligan as a way to ‘give something back’ to Albuquerque where the show was shot. [Source: The Guardian]
Virgin River
The official trailer for the fourth season of Netflix’s smash hit romantic drama “Virgin River” is out and is based on the novels of Robyn Carr. The new twelve-episode run returns on July 20th.
Alexandra Breckenridge plays a nurse practitioner adjusting to life in a Northern California small town and gets involved with local restaurant owner Jack (Martin Henderson). The fourth season finds her pregnant but unsure who is the father – Jack or her late husband Mark (Daniel Gillies).
Stargirl
The CW has premiered the first trailer for the third season of their DC Comics teen superhero series adaptation “Stargirl” which returns on Wednesday, August 31st and sees Joel McHale’s Starman who attempts to train Stargirl (Brec Bassinger).
