The fourth and final season of Netflix’s coming of age series “Atypical” will premiere on July 9th. Creator and showrunner Robia Rashid executive produces.
Keir Gilchrist, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brigette Lundy-Paine and Michael Rapaport star in the series which follows Sam Gardner, a young man on the autism spectrum who is currently struggling with college and his relationships with Zahid and Paige. [Source: Netflix]
The Very Small Creatures
U.K. animation studio Aardman Animations has given a greenlight for the new preschool series “The Very Small Creatures” for Sky Kids. The series will utilise characters from the iconic Aardman universe and marks the first time since 2009’s “Timmy Time” Aardman has created a series for the age group.
Launching in November, twenty three-minute mini-episodes in stop-motion claymation are being made in a tale that follows five, genderless colour-coded clay creatures who explore children’s play areas when no people are present and learn through collaborative play. [Source: Variety]
The L Word: Generation Q
Showtime has released the teaser trailer for the second season of “The L Word: Generation Q” which is scheduled to premiere on Friday August 6th.
This continues on from the first season finale where Bette Porter lost the Mayor’s Election and Sophie cheated on Dani with Finley. A potential new relationship for Bette is also on the way.
iCarly
Nickelodeon has premiered the teaser trailer for its revival of the “iCarly” series which returns after a six-season run wrapped nearly a decade ago. The revival finds Carly Shay, the original influencer, and her friends navigating work, love, and family in their twenties.
Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor all return. The new episodes will debut from Thursday, June 17th with the first three to be followed by subsequent episode drops weekly on Paramount+.
