The first photo has been released of “Queen & Slim” actor Jodie Turner-Smith as Tudor queen Anne Boleyn in the three-part psychological thriller “Anne Boleyn” for Channel 5. The project airs later this year.

The story will explore the final months of Boleyn’s life from her perspective, as she struggles to secure a future for her daughter and challenge the powerful patriarchy closing in around her. Mark Stanley, Paapa Essiedu and Lola Petticrew co-star. [Source: BBC]

HBO Max has handed out an eight-episode order for a new half-hour series “Rap S–t” with Issa Rae executive producing and Syreeta Singleton serving as showrunner. The story follows two estranged high school friends from Miami who reunite to form a rap group. Casting is currently underway and production is set to start this summer. [Source: The Live Feed]

Leopard Skin
Carla Gugino will lead the TV crime thriller for AGC Television with filming underway in the Dominican Republic. Amelia Eve, Genry White, Philip Winchester and Nora Arnezeder co-star.

The story kicks off when a criminal gang flees a botched jewellery heist and is forced to hide out in a beachside estate where two women live in seclusion. Sebastian Gutierrez (“Jett,” “Snakes on a Plane”) serves as showrunner and there is no network or streaming service attached yet. [Source: Deadline]

Alpha Betas
The trailer has been released for the adult animated comedy series “Alpha Betas” which hails from showrunners Chris Bruno and David Lee. The series follows team of gamers who drop into video game worlds and save the day.

YouTube gaming personalities Evan Fong, Marcel Cunningham, Tyler Wine and Brian Hanby lead the cast which also includes Stephanie Beatriz, Paget Brewster, Chris Parnell, Brent Morin, and John DiMaggio. The series premieres on Saturday, March 13th.

Generation
Following in the footsteps of “Euphoria” and “We Are Who We Are,” HBO has set a March 11th premiere date and released a trailer for their latest series about a diverse group of teenagers dealing with life, modern sexuality, and beliefs about love and family in a conservative community.

Nathanya Alexander, Chloe East, Nava Mau, Lukita Maxwell, Haley Sanchez, Uly Schlesinger, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Chase Sui Wonders, Justice Smith, and Martha Plimpton star in the half-hour series.
