Animal Control
FOX’s new comedy “Animal Control” has become the network’s most-streamed live-action comedy ever, besting the 2015 premiere of “Last Man on Earth”. Excluding post-NFL telecasts, it’s also FOX’s most watched comedy telecast since the 2021 “Last Man Standing” finale.
The Joel McHale-led workplace comedy series, about a group of local Animal Control workers, launched February 16th and earned 4.5 million total multi-platform viewers in its first three days of availability. 1.3 million streaming viewers originated from Hulu and FOX Now. [Source: TV Line]
South Side
HBO Max has officially cancelled its comedy series “South Side” after three seasons. The show followed Simon (Sultan Salahuddin) and Kareme (Kareme Young), best friends who just graduated from community college and are ready to take over the world, but are stuck working at a rent-to-own south Chicago furniture store until they do. CBS
CBS has announced renewals for nine network series including “NCIS,” “NCIS: Hawa’ii,” “CSI: Vegas,” “Tough as Nails,” “Lingo,” “The Amazing Race,” “Survivor,” “60 Minutes” and “48 Hours”. The order leaves three scripted series ‘on the bubble’ – “Blue Bloods,” “S.W.A.T.” and new cop drama “East New York”.
The nine renewals join the ten other series CBS have already renewed for next season including “Fire Country,” “Ghosts,” “Young Sheldon,” “The Equalizer,” “The Neighborhood,” “Bob Hearts Abishola,” “So Help Me Todd” and all three “FBI” shows. Mid-season starter “True Lies” hasn’t premiered yet, whilst “NCIS: Los Angeles” will end with this current season. [Source: TV Line]
Rabbit Hole
Paramount+ has premiered a new trailer for the new series “Rabbit Hole” starring Kiefer Sutherland, Charles Dance, Meta Golding and Enid Graham. The series premieres on the service on March 26th.
