Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for the musical drama biopic “Song Sung Blue” starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson. The film opens nationwide on Christmas Day.
Based on a true story, two down-on-their-luck musicians (Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson) form a joyous Neil Diamond tribute band, proving it’s never too late to find love and follow your dreams.
Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Hudson Hensley, Fisher Stevens, and Jim Belushi co-star in the film which is written and directed by Craig Brewer.
Next, Netflix has premiered the official trailer for Richard Linklater’s “Nouvelle Vague” – an imaginary spin on the making of Jean-Luc Godard’s “Breathless” which kicked off French New Wave cinema.
Guillaume Marbeck, Zoey Deutch, Aubry Dullin, Bruno Dreyfürst and Benjamin Clery co-star in the film in which Godard is attempting to direct his first feature film and recruits American actress Jean Seberg (Deutch) and French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo (Dullin) as his stars.
Linklater directs from a screenplay by Holly Gent, Vincent Palmo Jr., Michèle Halberstadt, and Laetitia Masson. The film hits select US theaters on October 31st then Netflix starting November 14th.
