Bad Hair
Hulu has released the official trailer for Justin Simien’s horror satire “Bad Hair” which premieres on the service on Friday October 23rd.

In this horror satire set in 1989, the story follows an ambitious young woman (Elle Lorraine) who gets a weave in order to succeed in the image-obsessed world of music television. However, her flourishing career comes at a great cost when she realizes that her new hair may have a mind of its own.

Elle Lorraine, Vanessa Williams, Lena Waithe, Laverne Cox, Kelly Rowland, Jay Pharoah, Blair Underwood, James Van Der Beek and Usher Raymond star.

Echo Boomers
Saban Films has released the new trailer for Seth Savoy’s action thriller “Echo Boomers” starring Oscar nominee Michael Shannon and Patrick Schwarzenegger. The latter plays a recent college graduate who realises everything he had worked towards was built on a lie.

When he is pulled into a criminal underground operation, he finds his peers fighting the system by stealing from the rich and giving to… themselves. Gilles Geary, Hayley Law, Jacob Alexander, Oliver Cooper, Kate Linder, Lesley Ann Warren, and Alex Pettyfer co-star and the film hits on demand on November 13th.

Kindred
IFC Midnight has released the trailer for Joe Marcantonio’s debut psychological thriller “Kindred” starring Tamara Lawrence, Jack Lowden, Anton Lesser and Fiona Shaw. The film opens in select theaters, digital and VOD on November 6th.

The story follows mother-to-be Charlotte as she is taken in after her late boyfriend’s sudden death by his mother Margaret and her stepson Thomas. However, things don’t seem to be as they appear, and Margaret becomes increasingly obsessed with Charlotte’s every move. But once Charlotte starts having foreboding visions, she’s convinced Margaret has malicious intentions for her unborn child.

Spell
Paramount Pictures has debuted the first trailer for Kurt Wimmer’s psychological horror-thriller “Spell” starring Omari Hardwick as a man flying his family to his father’s funeral in rural Appalachia. An intense storm sees him lose control and crash.

He awakens wounded, alone and trapped in Ms. Eloise’s (Loretta Devine) attic, who claims she can nurse him back to health with the Boogity, a Hoodoo figure she has made from his blood and skin. Unable to call for help, Marquis desperately tries to outwit and break free. The film hits digital platforms on October 30th.
