Lionsgate has released the trailer for “White Bird: A Wonder Story,” the coming-of-age war drama which serves as a spin-off to the 2017 “Wonder”.

Bryce Gheisar reprises his role as Julian, the bully and adversary of Jacob Tremblay’s Auggie in “Wonder” who was expelled from Beecher Prep. In this Julian’s grandmother (Helen Mirren) visits from France and recounts her experiences as a Jewish girl in a Nazi-occupied France in hopes of teaching him the importance of kindness.

Ariella Glaser, Orlando Schwerdt and Gillian Anderson also star in the film which was directed by Marc Forster (“Finding Neverland”) from a script by Mark Bomback. “White Bird: A Wonder Story” opens on October 14th.

The film is directed by Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, Christopher Robin) from a screenplay written by Mark Bomback, based on R.J. Palacio’s 2019 graphic novel. It is produced by Palacio, Todd Lieberman, and David Hoberman.
