Trailer: Tubi’s “Terror Train” Remake

TUBI

One of the more underrated of the early 1980s slasher films, “Terror Train” cemented Jamie Lee Curtis as the screen’s scream queen and to this day holds up more impressive than some of the other fare of the era (including the Curtis-led “Prom Night”).

That film followed a group of pre-medical college students holding a costume party onboard a moving train who are targeted by a killer seeking revenge for a prank gone wrong years before.

As many on the train are in costume, it allows the killer to move about switching outfits in order to avoid being caught. Ben Johnson, Hart Bochner and illusionist David Copperfield co-starred in the film which marked the directing debut of Roger Spottiswoode (“Tomorrow Never Dies,” “Turner & Hooch”).

Now Tubi is offering a low-budget contemporary reimagining of the property – this time using a Halloween theme to incorporate the costume usage.

Robyn Alomar, Tim Rozon, Max Laferriere, Corteon Moore, and Nadine Bhabha star in the new take which Phillipe Gagnon directs from a script penned by Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin.

The ‘Tubi original’ film will serve as the tentpole title for their annual ‘Terror on Tubi’ event in October. The movie will hit the service this Friday October 21st.
